1.1  This Policy explains how DASTAVEZ.NET (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED (“Dastavez”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Dastavez.net website and mobile applications (the “Platform”). It forms part of, and should be read with, our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1.2  “Cookies” in this Policy includes browser cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, session storage, and software development kit (SDK) identifiers used in our mobile applications.
2.1 Â Strictly necessary technologies (those required to deliver the service you request, keep you signed in, secure the Platform, and remember your consent choices) are used without consent, as permitted by law.
2.2 Â All other technologies are used only with your consent where the law applicable to you requires it (including the EEA/UK ePrivacy rules). On your first visit from such a jurisdiction, our consent banner lets you accept all, reject all with the same ease, or choose granular categories. No non-essential cookie is set before you choose.
2.3  Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: reopen the consent manager via the “Cookie Settings” link in the Platform footer or app settings at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
2.4 Â Universal opt-out signals. Where required by applicable law, we honour recognised universal opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), transmitted by your browser.
| Category | What it does | Legal basis | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Login sessions, authentication tokens, security (fraud and abuse prevention), load balancing, saving in-progress form and Survey state, remembering your consent choices | Not subject to consent — strictly necessary for the service you request | Session, up to 12 months (consent record: up to 12 months) |
| Functional / preference | Language, theme, dashboard filters, and other settings that personalise your experience | Consent, where required by the law applicable to you | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics / performance | Aggregated measurement of feature usage, session length, navigation paths, crashes, and performance, used to improve the Platform | Consent, where required by the law applicable to you | Up to 24 months |
| Third-party sign-in | Cookies and tokens set by identity providers (e.g., Google, Facebook, Apple) when you choose to sign in with them | Necessary to perform the sign-in you request; the provider’s own policy also applies | Set by the provider |
| Advertising | Not used. We do not deploy advertising, targeting, or cross-context behavioural tracking technologies. If this ever changes, this Policy will be updated and consent obtained first. | — | — |
A current, itemised list of specific cookies and SDKs, their providers, and their lifespans is maintained in the consent manager’s “details” view, which is updated as our tooling changes.
Some technologies on the Platform are set by third parties providing services to us or to you, including:
These third parties act under their own privacy and cookie policies for data they control, and we encourage you to review them. We contractually restrict our service providers from using data collected on our Platform for their own advertising purposes.
Our mobile apps use SDK-based identifiers and local storage in place of browser cookies. You can manage these through: (a) the in-app consent and privacy settings; (b) your device’s operating-system privacy controls (such as iOS App Tracking Transparency and “Limit Ad Tracking”, or Android’s advertising-ID and permissions settings); and (c) uninstalling the app, which removes locally stored identifiers.
Independently of our consent manager, most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings (typically under “Privacy” or “Site data”). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent core features from working, such as staying signed in, saving Survey progress, and reward tracking.
EEA / United Kingdom: non-essential technologies are deployed only with prior opt-in consent under the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in your Member State and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), in the granular manner described in Section 2. Consent records are retained as evidence of compliance.
United States: we do not sell or share personal information collected via cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising. Where a state law grants opt-out rights over profiling or targeted advertising, those practices are not undertaken; universal opt-out signals are honoured as described in Section 2.4.
Pakistan and elsewhere: we apply the consent approach in Section 2 as a global good-practice baseline and will adopt any additional requirements introduced by local law.
We may update this Policy as our technologies or legal requirements change. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice, and where new non-essential technologies are introduced in consent jurisdictions, consent will be sought before deployment.
